For 40 years, Bunbury Wildlife Park has been a place where our community can connect with nature, discover Australia’s amazing wildlife and create memories that last a lifetime.
Since opening its gates on 14 September 1986, the Park has welcomed generations of families, school groups, visitors and animal lovers through its doors. From first encounters with a kangaroo to feeding the birds, meeting our friendly keepers and exploring the Park with family and friends, so many special moments have been made here over the past four decades.
Now, it’s time to celebrate!

40 Years of Cherished Memories
Our 40th anniversary falls on 14 September 2026, marking four decades of wildlife experiences, education, conservation and community connection.
While 14 September is the official anniversary, we’ll be celebrating this incredible milestone throughout the year.
We’ll be taking a look back at the Park’s journey, celebrating some of the people and animals who have been part of our story, and sharing some of the memories that have made Bunbury Wildlife Park such a special place for our community.
Be Part of the Celebration
Whether you’ve been visiting the Park for 40 years or you’re making your very first visit, we’d love for you to celebrate this milestone with us.
Come and meet our incredible animals, explore the Park, enjoy an animal encounter and make some new memories of your own.
40 years is a milestone worth celebrating and we couldn’t have done it without our wonderful community.
Thank you for being part of our story.
Here’s to 40 years of wildlife, memories and community and to the next 40!
