Our team is heading out across the city over the coming months to plant approximately 560 trees on residential verges and open spaces, helping to grow a greener, cooler, and more connected Bunbury.
You'll spot us out and about planting across Bunbury, East Bunbury, South Bunbury, Carey Park, Usher, Withers, Glen Iris, Pelican Point and College Grove. These trees aren't just about shade and streetscapes - they're strengthening habitat for native fauna and supporting biodiversity right where we live.
Want a tree on your verge? Registrations for the 2027 program will open later this year - watch this space!
Or if planting is something you enjoy, and you’re keen to roll up your sleeves and be part of the transformation - we're running TWO community planting days where you can help develop our natural reserves - planting local native seedlings and mulching to create stronger habitat for our wildlife.
Saturday 20th June | 9am to 11am - Hartley Anderson Reserve, Sturt St, South Bunbury
Saturday 4th July | 10am to 12pm - Irwin Street Reserve, Irwin St, Bunbury
What to bring:
- Long shirt & pants
- Enclosed shoes
- Water bottle
- Gloves (or we can supply some on the day!)
No experience needed just come along and bring your enthusiasm and a love for our local environment.
Let's grow a greener city together!
