The City of Bunbury will welcome more than 720 netball participants and officials to Hay Park Netball Courts in June 2026, with Netball WA confirming Bunbury as the host of the South West Peel Regional Championships.

The competition will run across Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June 2026, bringing together some of the best netball talent from across the South West Peel region.
Bunbury's Hay Park Netball Courts completed a major refurbishment in September 2025, including upgrades to court and lighting facilities, delivering 12 new courts that meet national standards. The upgrades have enabled Bunbury to host the Championships again, having only hosted the event once since its inception in 2019.
The City of Bunbury is contributing $4000 to support the delivery of the event.
Bunbury Mayor Jaysen Miguel said the City was thrilled to welcome the South West Peel Regional Championships back to Bunbury.
"The refurbishment of the Hay Park Netball Courts was about creating lasting opportunities for our community, and hosting these championships is a perfect example of what modern, fit-for-purpose facilities can attract to our City," Mayor Miguel said.
"Hosting more than 720 participants and officials across the weekend will be a significant boost for our local economy, our accommodation providers, restaurants and retailers. Events like these reinforce Bunbury's position as the sporting capital of the South West, and we look forward to showcasing our city to players, families and spectators from right across the region.
I want to thank Netball WA and the Bunbury Netball Association for their partnership in bringing this event to life. It's going to be a fantastic weekend for our City.
The Hay Park Netball Courts refurbishment was funded through the City of Bunbury and the State Government's Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund.
