The City of Bunbury is seeking volunteers to join its new Tourism Ambassador Volunteer program and help welcome visitors to our city.
Tourism Ambassadors play an important role in creating positive visitor experiences by sharing local knowledge, promoting attractions and helping visitors make the most of their time in Bunbury.
Whether you're passionate about sharing local knowledge, enjoy meeting new people or are looking for a meaningful way to contribute to the community, becoming a Tourism Ambassador is a rewarding opportunity to get involved.
What does a Tourism Ambassador do?
Tourism Ambassadors work alongside City staff to welcome visitors and provide information about local attractions, events and experiences.
They may assist during peak tourism periods, major events and special activations throughout the year, helping visitors connect with experiences that suit their interests.
Training and experience
Successful applicants will receive training from the City's Visitor Centre team before gaining hands-on experience across several of Bunbury's key tourism attractions, including:
- Bunbury Wildlife Park
- Bunbury Regional Art Gallery
- Bunbury Museum and Heritage Centre
This experience will help volunteers build their knowledge of Bunbury's tourism offering and develop confidence when engaging with visitors.
