How do we access the book club sets? Book clubs must be a registered as members with Bunbury or Withers library to borrow the sets. Your club will be issued with a membership card, this card is used to borrow book sets. The set must be borrowed and returned as a set, in full.
How does my book club become a member? We require two members of your book club to supply their details as book club contacts. One or both will be required to sign and accept the conditions of use on behalf of the book club.
For how long sets be borrowed? The loan period is six weeks.
What is the best way to keep track of books? Each of the books within the set will be individually numbered e.g. 1/8, 2/8. Some book clubs allocate a constant number to a specific member.
How do we return the sets? The books must be returned as a set including the reading notes (if present). The complete set can be returned to either Bunbury or Withers. The returns chute or after-hours chute cannot be used. Please ensure you give the bag to a library staff member.
Can a title be reserved for our book club? Yes – our library staff can help you to do this, either in person at one of our branches, by phone 9792 7190 or email on bunlib@bunbury.wa.gov.au
What happens if a book for the set is lost or damaged? As per our terms, the book club will be financially responsible for all books borrowed. If the damage is minor, the library may try to repair the book if feasible. If the damage is major, there may be a charge for the book. If the book is lost, the book club will need to pay for or replace the book.
