Bunbury Regional Art Gallery (BRAG) presents a curated program of exhibitions each year. While we welcome ideas and proposals, please note that BRAG does not run an open-call program.
We do offer a professional development initiative for artists who see themselves as emerging, experimental, or trying something new. Pivot: Artist Incubator Program is open to artists of all career stages, backgrounds, and mediums who are interested in curatorial feedback and the chance to build confidence in presenting their work. Exhibition proposals are considered only where they align with our curatorial vision, strategic focus, and the timing of our exhibition schedule. BRAG’s current programming runs 2 to 3 years in advance.
If you are considering submitting an exhibition proposal, we recommend reviewing BRAG’s current and upcoming exhibitions to get a sense of our programming priorities.
Artists also have the opportunity to exhibit at BRAG through the South West Survey and Noongar Country exhibitions, which are held every two years in alternating cycles.
Proposals should include a short outline of your concept, a CV, images of recent work, and any relevant supporting information.
Proposals are reviewed by BRAG’s curatorial panel in relation to:

- Alignment with BRAG’s curatorial and strategic focus

- Timing and availability within the program

- How the project sits alongside planned/concurrent exhibitions
Following review, you will receive feedback as to whether your proposal will proceed. BRAG may also recommend additional steps at this stage, such as consultation with the City of Bunbury’s Aboriginal Reference Group (if relevant to the project).
Further discussions will then take place regarding timelines, contracts, installation requirements, and promotional opportunities.
