An important update on Bunbury Wildlife Park

Following routine safety inspections, we identified structural issues in our main building at Bunbury Wildlife Park.

The City acted quickly to ensure the safety of our animals, staff, and visitors – closing the building and safely relocating all animals within hours.

The great news!

  • All animals are safe, healthy, and thriving in appropriate care
  • The park is fully operational with all exhibits and experiences available
  • We’ve recently added exciting new residents – Squirrel Gliders, Purple-Crowned Lorikeets, and the endangered Golden-Shouldered Parrot
  • Our reptiles are enjoying special keeper enrichment sessions where you can meet them up close (Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat at 11.30am)

We’re currently completing detailed assessments to determine the full scope of repairs needed. This proactive approach ensures we’re investing in the long-term future of this treasured community facility.

The Wildlife Park remains open and welcoming visitors! Entry is via Gate 1, and our wonderful team is ready to help you enjoy everything the park has to offer.

We thank our community and visitors for your continued support and understanding as we complete this important work. We’ll keep you updated as we progress.

Open: Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm (last entry 3.15pm)
