Pivot is BRAG’s new incubator program for emerging and experimental arts practice. Designed to give artists space to test ideas, receive tailored curatorial feedback, and develop their practice in a supportive environment.

The program focuses on artist learning and growth. It’s open to artists at all career stages, with diverse backgrounds and mediums, who are interested in curatorial feedback and the chance to build confidence in presenting their work.
The program has two key parts:
- TESTING + EXHIBITING: Artists are invited to present a small, experimental, or in-progress body of work in BRAG’s Project Space.
- BUILDING A PROPOSAL: Artists will work face-to-face with BRAG curators to develop a polished, ‘ready-to-print’ exhibition/project proposal - a useful document that can then be used to apply for exhibitions, residencies, or to inform grant applications.
Offering both a platform to trial and exhibit ideas and practical support in building a professional proposal, the program aims to empower artists in the region to take the next step in their practice.
